We are thrilled to announce that the 2024 Broken to Brilliant Christmas in July High Tea is officially sold out! Broken to Brilliant is a charity dedicated to helping survivors of domestic violence rebuild their lives. Founded by survivors, for survivors, we provide essential resources, education, and support to empower individuals to transform their experiences and create brighter futures.

Bean Alliance is the official coffee sponsor for the Christmas in July High Tea, Bean Alliance Group has been honoured to provide coffee, tea, and gifts since 2019 – and this year is no exception. This year, we’re excited to serve Bean Ground & Drunk Classic and Decaf coffee, along with our Project T Premium Tea range, including Pure Green, English Breakfast, Earl Grey, and Lemongrass & Ginger.

High Tea guests will enjoy an afternoon filled with delicious sweet and savoury treats, inspiring guest speakers, and fantastic entertainment by jazz singer Nicky Steel all while supporting a wonderful cause. Our MC for the event will be Loretta Ryan, radio host of 612 ABC, who will chat with guests throughout the day. We are also excited to have former Queensland Police Commissioner Bob Atkinson as our guest speaker. Additionally, we’ll be announcing new programs available at Broken to Brilliant and much more!


How You Can Help

Even though our High Tea event is sold out, you can still make a difference. By donating the cost of a high tea ticket ($75) or any amount you can contribute, you'll help cover the costs of catering and reduce event overheads, increasing the funds raised for our programs. A journey of support and empowerment

Since 2019, Bean Alliance Group has felt privileged to sponsor the Broken to Brilliant Christmas in July High Tea, using their coffee to raise awareness of Broken to Brilliant. From the first event, Bean Alliance has enjoyed supplying organic coffee, Bean Ground & Drunk, and Project T Premium Tea.

 

Bean Alliance Marketing Director, Susan Castle, has been actively

involved with Broken to Brilliant since 2019. Susan is one of the 42 authors published across the four titles produced by the charity since 2016. These books have won various awards, including the eLit Award in the self-help category and the Author Elite Awards for the advice category for our stories that explore the journey from experiencing family violence to recovery.


High Tea Entertainment

This year Nicky Steele, a passionate jazz vocalist, will grace Broken to Brilliant's Christmas in July High Tea with her captivating voice. Trained in classical singing in New Zealand and later transitioned to jazz under Mick Morgan. Nicky is a versatile performer. She also served as a Sergeant in the Queensland Police Service, blending grace and strength. With performances for dignitaries like Prince Charles and alongside artists such as Harry Connick Junior, Nicky's story of resilience and talent promises to be a highlight of the event, inspiring attendees with her soulful voice and impactful journey.
